Browser IssuesHelp! This site looks a mess!If you're using a Microsoft Internet Explorer version (Mac or PC) older than 6, or another old 20th-century browser, it probably does look a mess. The site should look similar to the image at the right --> |

This site uses current World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) XHTML and CSS coding standards. The W3C created these standards so the Web would work better for everyone. New browsers, mainly, support these standards; old browsers, mainly, don't. These modern browsers mostly support W3C standards and are available free from their respective developers: MS Internet Explorer 6, Mozilla 1.6, FireFox 1.0, Netscape 7.0, or Safari 1.2.1 or higher. They are also more secure, better able to resist malicious attacks on your computer. |

What can I try before upgrading? The first thing to try, if the site appears almost as shown at the right, is to set your default font size a little smaller. That can usually be done using the ctrl-minus (command-minus for Macs) keys, or going into your browser's preferences and setting the default size to 16 or choosing "reset to defaults". Join the rest of us in the 21st centuryIf that doesn't work, and you have an older browser, perhaps it's time to upgrade. Here are some links to download free 21st-century standards- compliant browsers:
